Who is Greenfleet

Greenfleet is a leading Australian not-for-profit organisation that plants protected native forests to absorb carbon emissions, restore biodiversity, and improve climate resilience.

They’ve been doing this for over 25 years, creating long-term climate solutions right here in Australia – including in catchments that directly benefit the Great Barrier Reef.

Why We Chose Greenfleet

  • We chose to partner with Greenfleet because their work goes beyond carbon. Their reforestation projects:
  • Absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere
  • Protect native species and biodiversity
  • Restore natural ecosystems including forests in the Great Barrier Reef catchment
  • Are legally protected for 100 years, ensuring lasting climate benefits

This aligns with our mission to not only reduce our environmental impact – but to actively regenerate the ecosystems that support the Reef.

What is Carbon Offsetting

Carbon offsetting is the process of balancing out emissions from activities like flights by investing in projects that reduce or capture an equivalent amount of greenhouse gases – like tree planting, clean energy, or ecosystem restoration.

The Integrity Behind the Offset

Greenfleet is a recognised leader in high-integrity carbon offsetting. Their work is:

  • Registered with the Australian Government’s Emissiosn Reduction Fund (ERF)
  • This means theirforest carbon projects meet strict national standards for measurement, reporting, and verification under the Carbon Farming Initiative (CF()
  • Audited by independent experts to ensure offsets are real, permanent and additional
  • Aligned with international best practice, including the principles setb the International Carbon Reduction and Offset Alliance (ICROA)

Feel Inspired?
